Dr. Julie Miesmer

Dr. Miesmer graduated from the National University of Health Sciences (“NUHS”) (formerly the National College of Chiropractic) in Lombard, Illinois in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. NUHS provides its students with a science-based curriculum focused on biology, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.

After graduation, Dr. Miesmer worked as a chiropractor for a large multidisciplinary clinic in the Chicago Loop for four years before opening her own practice in 2004. Since then she has acted as clinic director for City Center Chiropractic and Rehabilitation where she has successfully treated and improved the health of thousands of patients, most of whom live or work in the Chicago Loop.

Dr. Miesmer is certified in Active Release Technique ® (ART®), which is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments. She has also completed three years of monthly classes towards the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board diplomate program. This program provides insight and training for the latest treatments in evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. Dr. Miesmer has substantial clinical expertise and comfort treating a diverse range of patients and their corresponding conditions while working closely with medical doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and podiatrists.

Dr. Miesmer has previously donated her time and skills to the community by volunteering as a team chiropractor for the Avon 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer and as an anatomy expert at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry's Body Worlds exhibit.

Dr. Miesmer is firmly committed to providing professional, ethical and quality care to all of her patients. She encourages her patients to take an active role in their health and provides comprehensive patient education and self-management techniques to facilitate complete recovery and a thorough understanding of their health.
